Maria Espaillat is the Operations Manager at Palm Drive Capital, a New York-based venture capital and growth equity firm. Her previous roles in Alternative Investment and in Human Resources administrations helped her to develop a comprehensive and detailed approach to solving problems. Maria collaborated with organizations such as the Hispanic Heritage Foundation Investor’s group as their Director of Operations for their annual conference in 2018. 

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Maria emigrated to the U.S. at 14 years old. Maria’s struggle to learn a new language in her teens pushed her to understand how people can best communicate and connect with one another more deeply.  Maria graduated (magna cum laude) from Montclair State University with a B.A. in Communications and Media.

Outside the office, you can find Maria writing, traveling, learning about different cultures and practicing photography. Maria is passionate about worldwide and local current issues ranging from human rights, education, gender equality to holistic health and fitness.
