Family Nights at NMIC

EDsnaps and NMIC are excited to offer FREE Family Nights again! The spring unit will kick off with “Colorful Creations”.

Families with children ages 7-12 yrs are welcome.

Spring After-school Program, 2020

Our after-school program is for female-identifying students enrolled in a NYC school, grades 6-12. We are focused on STEM-content hands-on activities making students want to learn more about physics, biology, chemistry, math, engineering, and more. 


Location: 1524 Townsend Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452

When: Every other Wednesday evening 6 - 7.30 pm.

Leadership Program, 2020

Empowering local STEM-learners to become glocal STEM-leaders.


Our 12 month pilot Leadership Program kicks off in January of 2020. We address 3 main parts:


Spring 2020: Employability monthly workshops include resume writing, interview skills and more.

Summer 2020: Internships ranging from 6-12 weeks.

Fall 2020: Life-skills monthly training workshops include financial and time management and more.

This FREE program is offered to 12 underserved & underrepresented NYC college and university enrolled students.

Our after-school program is for female-identifying students enrolled in a NYC school, grades 6-12. We present STEM-focused hands-on activities connecting science, technology, engineering, and math.

Summer Workshop Studio Programs, 2019

Our free Summer Workshop Programs are for female-identifying students enrolled in a NYC middle school.

Rising 6th - 9th grade / Ages 11-15

Workshop I: July 29 - August 2, 2019,      Theme: “Water Flows"

Workshop II: August 5 - August 9, 2019,   Theme: “Lithium Shines"

Location: New Settlement, 1524 Townsend Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452 (between 172nd & Mt. Eden Ave.)

Hands-on experiments, field trips and networking with local community leaders. Start exploring your STEM interests: Science, Technology, Engineering & Math, and discover that STEM + Arts is a lot of fun.

Summer Program, 2019

Our free Summer Program is for female-identifying students enrolled in a NYC high school.

Rising 9th -12th grade / ages 14-18

2019 Summer Theme: “Creating Waves"

When: July 8 - July 26, 2019,  Mon-Fri 9.00 am - 3.00 pm

Location: Marble Hill School for International Studies, 99 Terrace View Ave., Bronx, NY 10463

Explore social media platforms, learn about the latest tech/digital tools used in healthcare, discover your financial qualities, work on a craft, write a personal statement, and enjoy our awesome field trips.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math go hand and hand with Arts (STEM + A = STEAM).
