Global Youth Leadership Program (GYLP)
The Global Youth Leadership Program is a virtual STEM leadership development program offered to young people, 9 to 16 years old.
We tackle a local and/or national socio-economic problem that is important to the communities we work with. Through trial and error, the teams develop sustainable solutions that could impact lives.
The programs culminate in an interactive showcase where students present their ideas to an international panel of judges. The constructive feedback received informs the process and learning experience.
Focus Areas
Problem-Solving & Sustainability
Students problem solve a local and/or national problem their community is facing.
STEM Leadership Development
Students work for one semester on developing their personal skills with a focus on their internal ecosystem ("mecosystem"). In the second semester, the students work in teams and focus on effective leadership in relation to their local ecosystem.
Global Communities
Every community is unique. But within each community, team members need to learn effective collaboration. Through solving local problems communities learn how to work for the greater good.
Communication & Feedback
Communication is a key leadership skill. Learning how to communicate effectively and respectful is a key element in this program.

What it Takes
The key to running a successful local youth program is to partner with local educators & local organizations.
Since 2018, EDsnaps has collaborated with GEIG - The Girls Education Initiative of Ghana. We offer our program to multiple schools located in Ashanti and Greater Accra regions of Ghana.
Since 2022, EDsnaps has collaborated with the Africa STEM Center organization, operating in Kenya.
