2022 Social Impact CLO Leadership - Ghana
May 20, 2022
In January 2022, we started with a group of STEAM-learners in our joint program "Social Impact CLO Leadership program” by EDsnaps - STEAM Programs in NYC, The Girls Education Initiative of Ghana (GEIG), and iSpace Foundation.
This past Wednesday (5/18/22), 4 teams presented their showcases to our international judges panel. All teams showed their communication and problem-solving skills, characteristic we would like to see in leaders. Congrats to all students.

2022 National Poetry Month
April 1, 2022
Six amazing EDsnapian poets from our EDsnaps - STEAM Programs in NYC will read their poem to you in observance of the National Poetry Month.
We will share a new poem every 5th day this month. Cited by our Board of Advisor member Gustavo Carvajal “we provide this marvelous opportunity to celebrate the expressiveness, delight, and pure charm of poetry. It is a special occasion that reminds us of the integral role of poets and poetry in our cultures."

In Memoriam - Kenya Smith
February 6, 2022
This past week, Kenya Smith (22) died due to a hit-and-run.
Kenya was one of the 7 students who participated in our 2017 pilot Summer Program, which took place at the Bronx Engineering & Technology Academy (BETA) at the JFK campus in the Bronx, NY. Kenya returned to our summer program as a judge and a role model for our 2018 STEAM learners.
Kenya once told me: “Dr. C, you smile with your eyes”. Kenya did not want to speak in public and did not want to be social but every time I put her up for another “social” challenge she took the challenge and came out stronger. She was a beautiful young woman and I am thankful that I got to know her.
